Born Social

I’m responsible for…

All things creative. This can range from photoshoots to copywriting, creating eye-catching ads to making interactive Instagram story assets.

I work closely with…

And normally collaborate on accounts with my boundlessly talented Creative team, and also the wonderful Social Media Managers who help me keep my days in check.

The best part of my role is…

The chance to work with a range of world-renowned brands from a variety of industries and knowing that hundreds of thousands of people will see my work everyday.

My *condensed* career story so far..

I made the big move to London in 2015, where my first job was working at the Cath Kidston flagship store for a brief while. I then worked as an in-house graphic designer for an organic coffee company, and then helped a clothing and lifestyle store to develop a cohesive brand identity, while designing and shooting for their newsletters and social accounts too. And now I’m here at Born, feeling lucky enough to be back working with Cath Kidston for all things social, so it’s fair to say my career has done a 360!

My dream brand to work with is...

The London Coffee Festival. And then eventually Amsterdam Coffee Festival, New York Coffee Festival… you see where I’m going with this?

The proudest moment for me at Born is...

When my friend messaged me about a Chilly’s competition to design your own bottle and said that I should enter… little did she know I helped work on said #CreativesEverywhere campaign. That was a pretty sweet moment.

The most memorable moment at Born is...

Shooting for Nando’s Yard last year, but then being asked to interview Grime Gran (look her up - she’s a cool gran). We discussed which emoji she would describe herself as, and also her favourite Nando’s order (mild chicken with a side of olives and salad, if you’re wondering).

My guilty pleasure on social…

Lip sync videos, especially for random clips of TV moments. Absolutely one of the finest ways to pass time.

The social platform I couldn’t live without...

Pinterest - my whole life is planned out within separate boards and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Right now, I’m binging…

Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown. Two of my favourite things in life are travelling and eating, so it’s the perfect remedy when I’m staying in during ~lockdown times~.

Describe working at Born in three words…

Riveting. Challenging. Inspiring.

My side hustle...

Would be to renovate and own a food van (watches Jon Favreau’s 'Chef' once). And yes, I do have a top-secret Pinterest board full of recipes and branding inspo for this hustle…
